STANDARD FEATURES:

HEADSTOCK & CONTROL PANEL:  The 9 speed heavy-duty headstock is fully geared.  All gears are hardened and
ground and run in a continual bath of oil.  The main spindle is made of forged, quenched and tempered steel, with a case
hardened spindle nose and mounted on precision taper roller bearings.  The control panel is designed for operator convenience
and efficiency.

MICRO CARRIAGE STOP:  The micro Carriage Stop is standard on the 13 lathe.

4-POSITION BED STOP:  The 4-Position Bed Stop allows fast and accurate turning of multiple lengths.

BED & BEDWAYS:  The extra wide 10 bed is scientifically designed and constructed of stabilized cast iron with bedways
hardened and ground to a hardness of 42 to 47 Rc.  The bed is designed with tapered cross braces for fast and easy chip
removal.  The bed is mounted on a rigid, fabricated steel base that is specially engineered to absorb vibration and ensure smooth,
accurate operation.

TAILSTOCK:  The tailstock has an extra heavy-duty casting for maximum rigidity and is equipped with a 1.9 ram with 3MT
taper.  The tailstock ram is marked with a graduated scale and the handwheel ring is indexed for accurate ram positioning.

CARRIAGE & APRON:  The carriage and apron have easy to operate controls.  The easy-to-read dual inch and metric
dials, and a quick change tool post is standard equipment of the 13 lathe.
